The Bible tells us the unfiltered truth about God and life.
If you want to know more about God and His promises and plan for your life, reading the Bible is your next step.
How do you get to know someone you never talk to?
You don’t. The same is true with God. He knows you and He wants you to know Him. Reading your Bible is getting to know the God it’s about. It might seem overwhelming and you might wonder where to start. Here are a few easy tips to get you moving in the right direction.
1. It doesn’t have to take an hour.
Start by setting aside just 10 minutes a day. Think about what you’re reading, there’s no rush. You’ll be surprised the difference those 10 minutes will make.
2. The Bible has many books in it, but there are four that tell the story of Jesus.
They’re called “the gospels” - Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. The story of Jesus is a great place to start.
3. The Bible also contains a book of wisdom called “Proverbs.”
It just so happens that there are 31 short chapters in Proverbs - one for every day of the month.
